Serving Southwest Riverside County
CITY OF MURRIETA, CALIFORNIA
When Murrieta officially became a city on July 1, 1991, it was already home to more than 24,000 residents. Compare that to the 2,200 estimated to have been living here in 1980.
By 2005, more than 85,000 people had moved to the community, making it one of the five largest in Riverside County.
The natural scenic beauty of the area and what is still by California standards reasonably priced housing continues to attract significant numbers of residents and businesses who are finding Murrieta a great place to grow.
Those living in the community find distinguished schools, abundant recreation, excellent medical facilities expanding employment opportunities and one of the lowest crime rates in Southern California. And entrepreneurs find a market growing larger by the day, above average household incomes, a skilled labor force and a business-friendly city hall.
It’s a community with a past and vision for its future. One that welcomes challenges, takes risks, embraces opportunity. More and more people are discovering what the Murrieta brothers envisioned more than a century ago: Murrieta is, indeed, a great place to grow.
CITY OF TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA
Discover Temecula's spectacular natural beauty, rich history, unlimited shopping, year-round entertainment and recreation for the entire family!
Temecula is well known for its championship golf courses, a climate perfect for serene and beautiful hot-air ballooning adventures, and award-winning wineries nestled in 3,000 acres of picturesque wine country, but that's just the beginning. The community's mix of entertaining activities and friendly residents makes visitors want to return again and again.
Located in the heart of Temecula, the Old Town district blends historic buildings with over 640 antique dealers, unique shopping, and restaurants. Old Town Temecula is the site of many special events including car shows, semi-annual Rod Runs, Western Days, and summer weekend entertainment. Take a jaunt in a horse-drawn carriage or stroll along the wooden boardwalks. Every Saturday, visit the popular Farmer's Market which offers a wealth of fresh produce, flowers, and crafts. Tour the Temecula Valley Museum and discover the city's historical treasures, enjoy the wacky inventor Professor Phineas Pennypickle's home-workshop, at the Imagination Workshop Children’s Museum or experience an evening out at our Old Town Temecula Community Theater.
If it's shopping you're looking for, you'll be sure to find that one-of-a-kind item in a quaint specialty boutique or one of Temecula's modern neighborhood centers. The Promenade Mall and Power Center offers the convenience of large department store shopping at its best. When it's time to dine, an array of dining experiences will fit any taste or budget.
Great weather and fresh air will encourage you to take the family for a hike on the Santa Rosa Plateau Wildlife Preserve, or delight in a day of boating and fishing at Lake Skinner, the site of the annual Balloon & Wine Festival, or nearby Diamond Valley Lake.
Just south of Temecula, the Pechanga Tribe of American Indians operates the Pechanga Resort and Entertainment Center where visitors can enjoy gaming, boxing, or concerts.
CITY OF CANYON LAKE, CALIFORNIA
If Canyon Lake had to be described in one word, that word would be unique. One of only five gated cities in California, Canyon Lake began as a master-planned community developed by Corona Land Company in 1968. The Lake originally was formed in 1927 after Railroad Canyon Dam was built. It covers 383 acres and has 14.9 miles of shoreline. The “City of Canyon Lake” was incorporated on December 1, 1990. The City has a population of 11,051 and geographically spans 4.6 square miles.
This private, gated community is located halfway between Lake Elsinore and Sun City, California. Canyon Lake is a recreation oriented community. Surrounded by beautiful homes, the residents enjoy many amenities, such as a golf course, equestrian center, beaches, parks, and a lodge. The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association has jurisdiction inside the gates, and property owners pay a yearly assessment.
CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA
Visitors to Lake Elsinore will discover a perfect climate, blue sky, clean air, world-famous thermal winds for aerial sports and, our crowning jewel, a sparkling 3,300 acre recreational lake for exciting water sports. All of this is set against the spectacular Ortega Mountains and Cleveland National Forest, providing opportunities for hiking, biking, bird-watching or just plain relaxing in the beauty that abounds in this outdoor recreation destination.
Extreme sports such as skydiving, hang-gliding and mountain biking are an everyday occurrence in Lake Elsinore. The lake beckons visitors and residents to its shores to enjoy boating, wakeboarding, fishing, water skiing, windsurfing, sunbathing, picnicking or playing on the beach. Beautiful, tree-shaded campgrounds and RV resorts surround the lake for overnight outdoor enthusiasts.
If shopping is your game, we have that, too! The Lake Elsinore Outlets provides nearly 100 stores offering top brand-name merchandise at extraordinary values. Perhaps you would prefer to stroll the historic downtown district and search for rare finds in the numerous antique shops or stop and have a bite to eat at one of the many fine restaurants. Lake Elsinore’s over 100-year-old, historically refurbished downtown district, with its antique shops, museum, cozy restaurants and quaint shops framed with colorful window canopies and vintage street lamps, reflects the charm reminiscent of the 1920s.
For family fun, visit Diamond Stadium, home of the Lake Elsinore Storm Professional Baseball team, an affiliate of the San Diego Padres, and take in a game. Batter up!
